How To Grow and Market Your Business on Instagram
Share
Have you been feeling like your growth on social media has plateaued?
You're doing everything you've been taught...creating content, responding to comments, creating reels, etc. But it's not helping!
Maybe you can't seem to figure out what you're doing wrong and how to fix it. Well, I'm here to clear the air and make growing on Instagram easier.
I'm going to share the strategies I've used to grow my social media accounts organically without paying influencers, utilizing google ads, paying for promo or running traffic campaigns.
On Instagram you have to tell your audience what to do!
When you're creating content whether it be a single post or carousel include a call-to-action.
Call to actions can be:
- Subscribe to our email list (increase traffic/customer leads)
- Grab the free style guide from our bio (increase customer leads)
- Pick your favorite outfit (increase engagement)
- Comment your answer down below (increase engagement)
Know what you want your audience to know and the purpose behind it.
Make sure you bio is detailed and specific
Your bio should say:
- Your brands name
- What kinds of products you sell
- Who you sell products to
- How they can purchase
- A link directing them to do something specific
Engage with your audience in Instagram Stories
You can engage by:
- Creating polls
- Posting funny memes/content
- Sharing their reviews
- Asking them about products you're considering
- Talk about cultural things and letting them chime in
- Going live and interacting with them
Be Consistent
No matter what you do, you need to be consistent. Most people aren't an overnight success. You have to build up to that point.
Being consistent doesn't mean posting all day every day. Just come up with a posting schedule and stick to it, so your audience knows when you'll show up.
Use Hashtags/Do Hashtag Research
You want to use hashtags your audience typically searches for not hashtags you search. A lot of people get confused here.
For example: #onlineboutique
More than likely if you're running a boutique your customer doesn't own one, so don't use that hashtag or you'll be targeting people who aren't interested in your content or may even copy it for their own use.

Use Instagram Reels
Instagram Reels are a great way to reach a larger audience quickly or even build brand recognition through shareable content.
Be sure to:
- Educate your audience/Give FREE tips
- Entertain them + Do trending reels
- Showcase your personality
Make sure that you have Instagram Shop set up
I've made a ton of sales on Instagram for my Boutique simply by having Instagram Shop and checkout set up properly!
Instagram Shop allows you to:
- Tag products with pricing directly on your feed
- Allow customers to shop without leaving the app
- Be marketing organically in Instagram's Shop Feed
